Where is Heim Milling located?

What's the difference between Heim's 16% Layer Pellets and 18% Egg Boost Mash Pellets?
The 16% Layer Pellets are a solid everyday layer feed for healthy, productive hens. The 18% Egg Boost Mash Pellets are a higher-protein formula designed to support peak egg production — especially useful during molt recovery, in cold weather when birds need more nutrition, or for flocks that have shown signs of reduced production. If your hens are laying well, 16% is fine. If you want to push production or support recovery, step up to Egg Boost.
Should I choose medicated or non-medicated Heim's chick starter?
Heim's 20% Chick Starter-Grower Crumble comes in both medicated and non-medicated versions. Medicated starter contains amprolium to help prevent coccidiosis — a good choice for most backyard flocks, especially chicks that will have access to soil. Choose non-medicated if your chicks were vaccinated for coccidiosis at the hatchery, or if you prefer a non-medicated approach with strong biosecurity.
Does Heim Milling make feed for ducks and game birds too?
Yes — Heim's is one of the few local mills that covers the full spectrum. They offer a complete waterfowl progression (starter, grower, and layer/breeder) and high-protein game bird formulas from 30% starter through 18% layer. It's one of the reasons we made Heim's our primary mill partner.
