Organic Straw Bales
Locally grown and harvested organic straw bales, available for delivery throughout the Twin Cities metro area.
Our straw is low/no seed and has not been sprayed with pesticides or herbicides, making it a great choice for your backyard flock, garden, small animals, and more.
Bale Size: Standard square bale — approximately 14" × 18" × 32"
Great for:
Bedding and ground cover in chicken coops and runs
Insulating coops and outdoor animal areas
Garden and winter ground cover
Creating wind barriers around coops and runs
Rabbit and quail hutches
Fall and Halloween décor
And more!
Because this straw contains little to no seed, it's also an excellent option for covering garden beds without having to worry as much about unwanted sprouts popping up in the spring.
For chickens: Try placing a whole bale directly in the run! Chickens love climbing on it, scratching through it, and eventually breaking it apart themselves. It provides fresh bedding while doubling as a fun boredom buster and enrichment activity.
